Jakarta — Low cost carrier AirAsia X Indonesia is set to fly nonstop from Ngurah Rai airport in Denpasar, Bali to Narita International Airport in Tokyo, Japan. Slated to commence on May 24, the flights will be available four times a week. The airline will deploy a fleet of Airbus A330-300 with a capacity of 377 seats, including 12 premium flatbed seats. In conjunction with the launch, the airline is offering promotional prices starting from Rp 1,190,000 (US$89) for economy class and Rp 4,390,000 for premium flatbed. The promotional price is available at the airline’s website and mobile app until April 9. “Currently, Japan produces the third largest of foreign tourists visiting Bali. We see that there is a constant growth every year,” AirAsia X Indonesia CEO Captain Sulistyo Nugroho Hanung said in a press release. He also said the new route would also support the government in achieving its target of attracting 20 million tourists by 2019.
