Padang — AirAsia Indonesia has stopped flights from the West Sumatra city of Padang to Singapore. It was done as part of network restructuring to improve operational efficiency, a spokesman said. “The last flight on Padang-Singapore route will on May 16, 2018, the Head of Communication affairs of AirAsia Indonesia, Baskoro Adiwiyono, in a written statement here on Friday (11/05). AirAsia’s passengers affected by the termination of services on the route had been contacted via short messages and electronic mail. AirAsia also call all passengers to recheck phone numbers and email addresses listed when booking via “My Purchase” feature at airasia.com. AirAsia passengers who had booked flights scheduled after May 16 would be entitled to choose on of the three compensation offers. The first option is changing the flight to on or before May 16. This transfer is free of charge but depends on seat availability. The second option is changing the flight route to make it through Kuala Lumpur on a date within seven days of the original schedule. “This transfer is also not subject to additional charges and is subject to seat availability,” said Baskoro. The third option is a deposit of the ticket price, which can be used for AirAsia ticket purchases within 180 days from the date of issuance. Passengers can choose their option and fill in the electronic forms available at Customer Support. Baskoro said that passengers may also contact Customer Happiness personnel through Live Chat or call center facilities available at Customer Support to submit details of the desired new flight. All refund in accordance with the payment mechanism that has been done can only be got by filling the electronic forms with Customer Support.
