Jakarta — The Jakarta administration held an open house gathering event at the City Hall, Central Jakarta on Thursday (21/06). The public event coincided with the first work day for civil servants at City Hall at 8 a.m. Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan and his deputy Sandiaga Uno started to greet civil servants at City Hall at 8 a.m. Throughout the event, Anies and Sandiaga were accompanied by their wives. Sandiaga previously announced that there would be no open house because civil servants must be allowed to enjoy their holiday without having to go to the office. Former Jakarta governors such as Djarot Saiful Hidayat, Joko Widodo and Fauzi Bowo held open houses at City Hall on the first day of Idul Fitri every year. Members of the public could attend and meet the governor and eat meals provided by the city administration.
